  Changing tablet cause tablet to stop working properly in Toom Boom Studio

When the Wacom tablet connected to a computer is changed, the newtablet will not work correctly with Toon Boom Studio. To fix this problem, one of the two following can be done:


  • Reinstall the Wacom driver by doing the following:
  • 1 - Uninstall the tablet drivers;
    2 - Restart the computer. This is an important step, if you don't the installation won't fix the issue;
    3 - Resinstall the tablet drivers for your new tablet;
  • For advanced users:
  • 1 - Close the TabletService by typing the following on the command line: net stop tabletservice

    2 - Rename or delete the file: \windows\system32\tablet.dat

    If it is not located under system32 this mean you have the latest version of the drivers. For those version the tablet.dat file will be located in the following folder:
    C:\Documents and Settings\*CurrentLoginName*\Application Data\WTablet\tablet.dat

    If you are running under Windows Vista you can reach it at the following location:
    C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\WTablet\tablet.dat

    3 - Start the TabletService by typing the following on the command line: net start tabletservice
